Best Things To Do With Kids In NYC – Pier 51 Playground

Pier 51 Playground, in NYC's Hudson River Park, is a fun place to play for younger kids, toddlers and babies. This riverside play area is clean, well-maintained and surrounded by a secure fence. Better yet, there are restrooms nearby. Which in NYC is rare as steak tartare. Pier 51 Playground has a sandpit, slides, climbing equipment and a pirate look out. Not to mention killer views of the Hudson and Jersey City.

There are lots of water play elements, including a giant sprinkler. Plus, the soft rubber surfaces are nice and gentle (and non-slip) - perfect for running around barefoot.

A little stream flows through the playground, so bring your boats.

Watch out for the water squirters!

Play structures are quite low and secure, perfect for toddlers.
